Malaysia volunteered in revalidating two (2) IMO Model Courses at HTW-4, London for IMO Model Course 1.34 – Automatic Identification System (AIS) – 2018 Edition and IMO model Course 1.36 – Liquefied Natural Gas Tanker (LNG) Cargo & Ballast Handling Simulator – 2018 Edition.
More than 20 nationalities took part in a workshop this week, hosted by IALA, to discuss the future of the MCP. Participants from Singapore, Canada, Malaysia, Korea and Taiwan aided the European stakeholders discussing the MCP. The ambition is to have the platform become a global solution to the problem of insufficient maritime connectivity.
Organized by the Republic of Korea’s Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries and supported by IALA and the Danish Maritime Authority, the e-Navigation Underway Asia-Pacific Conference will focus on the harmonized implementation of e-navigation in the Asia-Pacific region, in the interests of enhanced safety of navigation, maritime security and protection of the marine environment.
